    Default Strop pasted on both sides - Cross Contamination?

    Ok, this may sounds nuts or at least obsessive. I have a couple of bench strops that have diamond spray and chromox. I am carefull to keep them in bags so that the diamond doesn't get on the chromox and visa versa. I'd like to try a hanging strop with diamond on one side and chromox on the other. I'm thinking of a leather strop for this. Do i have to worry about one paste migrating over to the other side? How careful do I have to be to prevent such a thing?

    One won't leach through to the other side on leather, if that's what you mean.

    The only real care you should take is to ensure you clean the blade when moving from one to the other to avoid contamination.
