Default Just how long is it?

I have ordered today 2 replacement strops from Straight Razor Designs – “Material Strop Replacement” however there is one important piece of information left out in the description on their website I need. I tried to call but must have missed them.

If anyone has one of these, can you please tell me how long they are from tip to tip on a 3” SDR Premium fabric strop. The picture shows 2 grommets at the end of the strop. Can anyone tell me the spacing of these as well?

I do custom leather work and want to carve the handles for a couple of new strops I am working on. So the lengths of these are important so I can cut the English bridal to the correct size get it edged and mounted.

    Thanks in advance

My SRD premium 1 is 19 1/4" long (leather strop component only) and the 3 Chicago screws are spaced 1" each way with the center screw @ dead center or 1 1/2" from the side. All measurements center to center of the screws. The two Chicago screws in holding the fold of the handle are 1 1/4" apart center to center. The measurement from the sides of the handle is unequal so just divvy it up each way. This is from the first batch and they may not be making them the same as they did then. Hope that helps.

    JimmyHAD,
Thank you this helps me out a lot, I am working on several custom tooled and decorative designs for strops on the bench now. I wanted to get the approximant length of the fabric strop so I could make the handle work out to the length I want. 28” from end of D-ring to end of grip is what I am shooting for. This information is what I needed! I should have the ones I ordered next week and now have the time to get some tooled up over the weekend. When not at my real job I do custom leather work - Custom gun rigs, note books, Motorcycle bags, Cowboy action gear, Etc. So I have been going crazy with design ideas, I teach leather carving classes around the South East states as a side line. I have enough #1 center back cut English Bridle to do about 10 to 15 strops with out getting into another side of leather. If these turn out the way I think they will, I think I may teach a side class on them at the next seminar I do.
