    Question Bare felt stropping

Is stropping on bare felt before leather comparable to linen stropping before leather?
If so, is it advised to do it before every shave?

Wow that question takes me back a few years

When SRD first came out with their Hanging Felt strop, I tested it before I pasted mine up with Diamonds to see how the plain felt worked in place of Linen, I even tried it in place of Leather..

IMHO in worked fine in place of the Linen strop, but I still wanted my Leather strop after it...

Been stropping on the hard felt part of my hanging strop and then on the leather part before every shave for a year now. So yea it takes the place of linen.

    moobe,

I have used the hard-felt panel on my Neil Miller modular strop for pre-leather stropping with great success

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ
