Default Bison Company Black Shell Cordovan Strop

So I was a little hesitant but I decided to order one of these strops...I will def post a review when I get it, I paid for upgraded shipping so I hope by Friday These strops looks very nice, the Maroon was another 50.00 with what looks like upgraded hardware so I just went with the black color. I'll also make sure I post some quality pics.

just got it today, very high quality with dimensions being 18 inches by 2.5inches, The shell cordovan leather is very, very soft...much softer than my latigo, your finger glides across it. The hardware is a very high quality as well as appealing to the eye. The 2.5 inches seems to just cover the blades edge so not necessarily a need for an X pattern strop. The case is also very nice with a buffalo embroidered on it and a steel ring wrapped below the cord of the bag. I stropped one razor so far and its quite smooth, the linen also reproduces the same sound back and forth with ease as does the leather. I really wish the maroon color wasn't $50 more but the black is also very nice. If you're in the market for a new high quality strop definately at least give these a look. Stropping was a joy with this compared to my other strop there was a big difference

I have been eyeing up this strop on Fendrihan ever since it showed up in the new products section. I'm glad to see someone has given this strop a try and posting some nice pics of it, looks like its well made. The linen also looks very nice. I have a very nice English Bridle right now but I really want a shell cordovan. This strop and a Neil Miller cordovan are what I'm trying to decide on. Let us know how you like it after a bit of breaking in. I'd love to hear what you think of it.

I was also keeping an eye on the Fendrihan site for the cordovan strop. I had previously purchased the Bison horsehide from them. After stock got down to one for a while I ordered. While I have only used it a few days it is a very sweet strop. Nice smooth fast draw that is very different from the horse, latigo, and Russian leathers I have. Materials and workmanship are flawless. Very pleased with the purchase. Have you made a decision yet? Results?

I actually found a vintage horse shell strop at an antique store just the other day. Its only a 2" wide strop, but it's very nice. I don't see a brand new shell strop in my future for a while now .
