Thread: Kanayama Documentary

**Not sure if this thread really belongs in Strops or another place, but since it's sort of about a brand of strop, hopefully that works.**

Has anyone seen a (Japanese) documentary that @ around the 35-min mark interviews Naomi-san & briefly shows him finishing the surface of his strops? I saw a thread about it on B&B but the youtube link has been removed. Anyone know what he does if you've seen it? I'd love to know more about what is required to make these strops to help rationalize the purchase.

I saw the documentary a while back, was truly fascinating. I have two kanayama strops, one new the other antique. They are both superb strops, worth every penny in my view.

I want to see this, if anybody knows how please help!

yes, leather is leather, but there are various qualities of leather.

The difference between an SRD Premium 1 and a Kanayama 80,000 ....... about $200 USD ! .................
