    That's a good question for Lynn or Don at SRD. SRD and many good paddle strops have those hollow sections to provide 'some' give when you strop. My guess is that for the very very slight angle change on a microbevel or a 1 piece tape honed edge that you should be fine. But I would want to confirm this if I were you.

    I've stropped a ton of razors honed with tape on the paddle without any problems.
