Default Felt strop has water bump

Hello, somehow I got some water on my felt bench strop and now theres a big bump about 1/4 inch. How can I remove this? I guess I could sacrifice a blade or maybe hot iron? I don't know where to start, maybe you guys can help me out. Thanks! That 1/4 inch is round not high. Its not high at all but its a bump nonetheless.

My first thought is to leave it alone. However you could probably put weights on it to flatten it back down. Maybe shave it with a DE blade? Before anything drastic hopefully someone with prior experience with these things will weigh in.

I would try ironing it with steam until smooth at the wool setting. Then see if it helped.

I have had good results using the method Jonathan mentioned - steam iron. You need to get a lot of hot steam into the felt, in an even manner. Turn off the steam and give it a good, hard pressing. Leave overnight and it should be OK. If not repeat, or with very sharp blade slice the bumps off.

    Regards,
