Thanked: 2Dutch barber shop
http://www.youtube.com/all_comments?v=D-Yq2XtBVHc
Recently opened... they talk about that they had to teach themselves, had a guinea pig for that. Then they say that women are not allowed in the shop to maintain that old school manly feel/environment. They also say that the don't go with the latest hair trends, but maintain the true and tested styles only. Then they show some rare stuff they collected, like a warm shaving cream maker from the 20's.
They say business is going very very well. Nice themed old style barbershop it seems! In the youtube link you can see a few videos under the youtube poster's name. Have fun. (I am not affiliated in any way)
In another clip they say the streetscene changed with men happily waiting inside/outside the shop... sometimes up to 4 hours to get a haircut/shave. Old and young, really nice. They can chat about everything and have a beer/beverage since their wives are not allowed to go in anyway.
The theme of the place is really great. The site is cool too: www.schorembarbier.nl (in Dutch schorem sounds like scheren (to shave) but it actually means something totally different... schorem means something close to scumbags/plebs. A nice daring, twisty name.
Here is an English interview:

Thanks for posting the video Kalecommando. Double thanks for the link to the interview in English. I like the way they explain barbering as a craft.
It is cool that customers have the option to be shaved with their own razor instead of just a shavette.
