Default Charlie Lewis how to take pictures

    So, speaking of taking pics…

, on how to set up your point and shoot camera to take much better photos of razors.

Thanks Charlie, the grid on the screen and color balance made all the difference in the world. Can’t tell you how many post and manuals I have read and my eyes glazed over, then crossed.

This Video is quick and so simple I got it. He has a whole series of photo how to take better photos, on his YouTube channel, check it out.

Thanks, Again Charlie, for this and all you’re other videos and willingness to share your tips and secrets, here and on line.

    Very nice tutorial.
The white balance is very easy to adjust in the custom setting with an 18% gray card, it is as simple as taking a picture of the card.

After that it is fun time, where one would play with the ISO and the exposure compensation. Using the timer helps avoid blurring , but I think it is worth it to invest in a fast lens that allows to shoot at any moment without delay. Take multiple pics to make sure there are enough good ones.

As far as lightning conditions are concerned, taking pics outside when there is overcast is the best possible option one could imagine. The light is nicely diffused and there will be no crazy reflections. If pics have to be taken inside then light box is the best option, but improvised diffused source will work too.
