I've never bothered with pastes before. Once you've smeared it on the leather, is it there to stay, or can using the strop a lot wear it away and bring it back to normal?

Also, are you still working on growing your facial hair design? If so, what does it look like now? If not, I don't blame you...why deprive yourself of shaving so much of your face with your sharp-as-hell razors? That just ain't right!
    1. it is possible that with a decade of heavy use, I'll wear the CrO off. but i'm not counting on it. it's pretty permanent.
    2. no, i'm clean shaven now. i just moved 3 counties so all my stuff is packed up, but once i'm settled i'm going to be making a new shaving video that has the coup d'maitre and all the other stuff that got left out of the old one. also, i need to do a lathering vid.

    Default Soap vs Cream

    Hey Jockey's

Love the new restoration videos. I got a dremel and two practice razors on the way. Hey i was reading that you were thinking about doing a video on soap vs cream and how to use a scuttle. I think that would be a great idea. I have been looking around about this exact topic but everything i seem to read says it 's really a personal preference on what you use but they never really get in depth on how to properly use it. (scuttle and soap)

Jockey's I like the way that you explain things, Nice videos. I have a question about how to know when the razor is ready to moved up to the next hone. What kind of feeling are you referring to?

What happens if the razor is not ready to be moved up to the next hone?

    Txs,

it's hard to describe. "sticky" is how most people describe it. if the razor isn't ready to go to the next hone, then you will spend a lot of time using the next hone with almost no effect.

    Default Good Job

    Good job Jockeys.

It is said one picture is worth a thousand words.
So your videos should really help many people.
I liked the way you could see and hear the change in pressure you were using on different stages of honing and stroping.

    Thank you for the info.
