Are we talking Brains Daark here? I was brought up on that. Don't know of any other dark beers in South Wales.

Haven't heard of that one. We've got quite a few "specialty/import" beer shops here in Portland (one on Sandy blvd that you can drink beer while shopping for beer ). I'm not sure if the brown ale title came over from the U.K or if it was one of the tags that the American Homebrewers Association stuck it with. Generally kind of a dark reddish brown, mild sweetness, lightly hopped, with notes of apple cider and toasted walnut(?) from the yeast (Windsor I think, maybe Nottingham).

Ah Hornm, I think you are speaking of the UK brown ales in general, rather than Welsh beers!

Wales is one of the four countries that make up the UK, along with Scotland, Northern Ireland and England.

I am from Wales as were the farmers on the video. South Wales doesn't make many brown ales. The Brains brewery of Cardiff have been making a sort of dark mild called Dark for many years. Lovely stuff. I think I had it in my bottle as a baby...

    Default Oops

Sorry! For some reason I was under the impression that Wales was part of southern England, similar to a county or what have you. Guess I need to look at a map.

It is, in much the same way as Texas is a part of Oklahoma or New Mexico...

Try telling a Scot, an Irishman or a Welshman he's English!

    People have died for less!

    Question Anyone recognize it?

Pong. First video game -- ever. Played it in '73 when my college installed it in place of a broken pinball machine in our student center.
    Namaste,
    Morty -_-
