    Cool

    I came across your videos on YouTube a few days ago. You know how to shave. I'm a fan of Boker razors too, and use one in my most recent shaving video. An "Edelweiss." I own a King Kutter too!

    Though I must deduct some marks for the poor camera angles. A well-framed shot is the most important thing. It should zero in on the face, not your nipples! Sheesh!! Heh heh.

    Thanks for your comment!

    Am I right? You are johnnytastetest from youtube? If so, well thanks for your videos. I always recommend them to beginners, that buy a razor from me.

    I can agree about you opinion about Böker razors. I've got a vintage Edelweiss and a second King Cutter, too. Truly my best razors, easy to hone and incredibly sharp and smooth.

    Yes, the camera angle is not very good ;-) I had to build a "tripod" out of a towel rack and some stacked rolls of toilet paper. This is the best I could get out of it. If I had used more zoom, it would have cut off more of my face, like in the King Cutter video. A week ago, I moved into another flat, maybe I can shoot a better video in my new bathroom now. I am planning to do a stropping video and honing video, as I was asked to do so. But don't expect the camera-work of a hollywood pro ;-)

    Yeah, that's my channel. Thanks for the recommendations! I bought my tripod for $9.99 and it's served me well. You should get one and experiment with some different angles for your next video. Set up a few different ones and kind of do a dress rehearsal and watch the playback to see how it looks. Once you've got one you like, go to it.

    My black and white video has a pretty interesting angle, I think. It felt very close when I had it all set up, and I think one of the legs may have been in the sink, with the other two on my counter.

    I stopped watching video #1 because of the angle. I did watch the second video. I thought it was interesting that you did your ATG pass after your WTG pass. At first I thought you were only going to do two passes. From what I understand the standard order is WTG, XTG and then ATG. Any particular reason you use the order you do? I think I'm going to try WTG and then XTG tonight and see if I can loose the XTG pass. Thanks for sharing.

    Nice form. I've been thinking of getting one of the new Boker's, The Celebrated, 7/8th's or an Edelweiss. You guys recommend them?

    @keenedge:
    My beard grows sideways on jawline, chin and throat. Going from east to west is like going ATG on my face. Especially on the throat, this is very annoying and makes it difficult to shave there BBS.

    @zib
    I only have vintage razors and vintage Bökers. A guy from the German forum, who is a descendant of a Solingen razor maker once talked to the lady, who is responsible for the Böker razor production. His impression of her was not good at all, it seems that actual production seriously lacks quality and that the razors are made "heartless" without any passion and the know how of the workers from the "Golden Days". His impression was, the company is rather interested in earning money, than selling and making proper products.
    I personally think, they should be ok razors, but they are overpriced and surely can't compete with the quality of their vintage models.

    Half your face cut off!! Wow! I hope you've got a good supply of styptic pencils.
