As someone who is keen to get into restoring razors (once I have a little more space!), these videos are invaluable and the advice you have given has answered so many of those little questions that I had.

Thanks again and thanks for an amazing set of videos!

I finally got to watch you vid on honing, but again w/o sound till tonight. Nice job! Other than the hones I have on hand the only other difference is the speed at which I hone. I don't hone as fast as you show till I get over the 8k hone.

I really like your Vids! Thank you for taking the time to make and share them with us.

A restore like this would likely take 5 hours altogether, had I not been filming, and talking...and filming..and explaining...etc...

A blade restore depends...but scales generally take me about 3 hours start to finish.

    Default Awesome Job

    Brad,

That was a wonderful set of videos you did. Thank you so much for sharing. I learned quite a bit from this. Wish I would have seen before my first restore on an ebay special W & B all by hand. Definitely need some power tools.

    Thanks!

    Lu

Brilliant! I haven't even got my own razor yet and I want to start refurbing. The craftsmanship is great! We've really lost that in a society where everything is mass produced by machines.

I think it would take me 100 times longer though since I'll have none of your power tools which I'm sure make things a LOT faster!

I can't thank you enough for these videos. I happened to watch on the same night I put in an order for horn blanks, and was able to change the order just in time to get two-inch-wide plates instead of inch-wide. I learned that I need to cut both sides of the scales from the same plate.
