I should add that there are many ways to lap a hone, and this is only one.

This is great thank you! Do you have any advice on how to round the edges?

just angle the dmt and use it like a file to put a bevel on the edge. not much is needed, you don't have to round them off, just "break" the edge

Instead of using running water, could one submerge both stones (lapping and hone) in a bucket of water to lap underwater? Do some people fill their bathtubs and lap all of their stones at once? Nice vid Jockey's. You look great!

I don't see why not, as long as you swish it around a bit. Someone may do it, but I've never heard of it being done. I could see how you might want to assembly-line the process, but I just do that with the sink. (I lapped another 3 stones after the video, just didn't film it all since it's very repetitive)

    Hello, Jockeys:

    This is excellent work.

You focus on the subject and proceed without extraneous talk. Your explanation is clear and understandable, and your demonstration is well designed and performed.

There is much to learn here for shavers. Thank you for creating this most informative and quality video.

    Regards,

Can someone put this in the wiki? I just got my first hone and lap, and was looking for info on lapping in the wiki, but there is nothing there.

There is this article, but I agree the video would be a great addition!
