Default *Finally* Mantic's Straight Razor Video Primer

As some of you know I've been attempting to do a straight razor video for a long time. After a lot of starts and stops (and some help and encouragement from SRP) it is finally out:

The video also links to a related article with the video's transcript, links, and more information (including SRP of course, which figures prominently). Thanks for everyone's patience and help!

Cool. I imagine this was a difficult video, because it's such a complicated subject. Impossible to fit everything on a ten minute video, but you did show the jist of it :-) great work!

Very nice - lot of info and well compiled and explained.
When I started DEs, your videos were an essential aid. Glad to see those starting out with straights will have this as a reference.

Thanks for taking the strop of the end of the sink faucet from the previous version. Like I said the last time nicely done as all your Others are.

I am 80 years old and have just discovered the pleasure of shaving with a brush and a single edge razor. I am happily using an old Rolls Razor that I reconditioned.

I would now like to try a straight razor, yes, a cutthroat.
I have viewed your video numerous times as I have with so many of your other excellent tutorials.

As I am about to start I run into an obstacle that I do not know how to overcome.
Lathered up. Razor positioned properly in my hand. I put it on my face.
I lose sight of where it contacts my face!!!
Scraping a cutthroat blindly over my face intimidates me.

    What am I doing wrong?

Please help if there is help.
