Terrific video as all of yours are.

    Two questions.

I did some nickel silver pins a while back and ended up using a 16 oz. ball peen hammer rather than the 4 oz. on them because they were so darn hard. This lead to a discussion about annealing. Were those pins annealed? It went a lot faster than any peening I've done.

The other question is did that cut on your finger come from a razor? I just nicked myself good lately when I was honing up a blade and the phone rang. Distracted me for just an instant and there was blood.

    Keep up the good work.

The nickel silver pins were not annealed my me. I used the pin stock as I got it. The pin stock came from Jantz knife supply.

The cut on my finger is the remnants of a blister that has gone awry it just looks like a cut. I get blisters on my fingers when I grind razors. I do get a number of little cuts in the shop super glue is my friend.

I know what you mean. A quarter of my tool box now seems to be devoted to medical items. Band aids, hearing protection, eye wash, asprin, antacids, etc. Gaffer tape is a stagehands best friend. Piece of paper towel and a half inch wide strip of gaffers, compression and you get a band aid that will last you thru load out.

I'm going to try annealing my next nickel silver pins and see what happens. Can't be any harder than the way I'm doing it now.

    Thanks for your efforts.
