Thanked: 12Old cracked and busted 1 1/8" WB
Grabbed this beater of a blade of the bay. It is in rough shape but with a touch of luck should work out ok. Has a gnarly chip and a bit of a crack just in from the shoulder. Going to see what I can do to bring her back into service.

Curious to see how you do! I have one I bought for the scales. It was reground too thin at the heel and cracked as well.
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

I'd re-contour the heel so it keeps it's width but loses a tiny bit of length, unless that's a crack there as well.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 12I agree completely. No way to get her running again with the large crack over the chip however. At least this way she will shave again.
