I have seen where people say half the thickness of the scale.
But that is also my biggest hurdle in scale making for me.
If i make the wedge too small and not tapered right my blades then don't align good when i close them.
So what i did at the beginning is taper them a little bit at a time, check it out before pinning and so on.
I hope someone else with more experience can answer this question better as i also need advice on this wedge part.
IT DRIVES ME BANANASSSSS.*****HAVE A GREAT SHAVE*****

Thanked: 12Also, it appears no one has mentioned the Breathing hazard of working with Bone, as i understand it, its VERY important to wear a respirator when Sawing Sanding or drilling bone so as to not breathe the bone particles... this may also apply to horn though I am not that familiar...
