Thanked: 13249Step away from the Duck and No one gets hurt :)
Shane sent this one out to me, we both were shaking our heads trying to figure out what was done to this poor DD...
This is what flew out North to Idaho..
I did some really careful file work then some even more careful drill work with a pin vise then more filing and more drill work and finally got it all loose and off there.. It was actually two hand made soft steel washers, and possibly a nail that had been beat on there carefully enough that there were no cracks in the scales
I cleaned up the scales and the steel and put it back together with some tiny SS washers on the outside and NiAg pins, used Brass bearing washers on the inside and it all works right again
I have left to do is clean up the heel and get rid of the hook back there, and finish honing her upLast edited by gssixgun; 10-01-2013 at 09:34 PM.

Thanked: 3Looks better then I could have hoped for. I can't wait to finally have it in hand! I think I spent most of the day showing anytime who would look the picture but they didn't seem as excited as I was. Maybe it's time for some better friends ha ha. Thanks again for the great work and I promise to give it a good home.
