Are there any other places where members are buying micro fasteners besides at micro fasteners?

Micro Fasteners is the only place that I know of to buy the micro bolts and nuts.

They also have the washers you are looking for!

1/16" rod can be found in hobby stores/model railroad stores and online!

Here's one link for both + Stainless:

    Brass, Nickel Silver, Stainless Rods

This isn't the only supplier out there but it will get you started in your quest!

Thanks I did order from micro fasteners but the order got lost in the mail and have yet to get things squared away with microfasteners. So I wanted another vendor. I'll Have to see If microfasteners can add tracking to their orders in the future.

I've used stainless welding rod for peened pins. I still had to get the stainless washers though.
Barrel bolts are a practical alternative, unfortunately I've no longer got the link.

Amazon has an Industrial Supply here

    McMasters Carr here

Might have to dig a bit, but at the very least you can get rod for pinning.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

I used to be able to get tiny stainless steel screws and nuts at my local Sears Hardware store. Unfortunately, they closed that store, so I don't know if the Sears Hardware stores are still carrying that stuff. If you have one in your area, give it a try.

For the record microfasteners is a great supplier. The issue I had was with USPS and not microfasteners. In fact microfastneres offered to ship another order to me via UPS at their expense (double the cost of USPS). I declined and waited since I didn't feel they did not have do anything to fix the shipping issue which was out of their hands. In the end my order arrived. I only mention this because my original post and or the title of this thread could be misleading towards the the negative with microfasteners, which it is not meant to be.
