    Default DPRK razor

Purchased this North Korean razor, it's a NOS, from the info I could find they are supposed to be very god shavers,.. the blade is very clean, with just a little of rust at the pivot jimps.. she scales are just 1 piece plastic (that I would like to .. change, but I guess they have to be there for a full package)

the blade is a bit of center (I think that as a forging mistake), sorry for a bad pic quality..

Any ideas about how would you address this issue... the scales are cheapy, soft plastic so am not sure how much they would take ..

I think you should try to change the pin and keep the original scales. By doing this you might be able to fix your problem.

hey YGG, thanks for your answer... I was thinkiong of doing that (and will probably try it) but am a bit suspicious about succeeding due to:
    - the main reason for the blade being off center is off-grinding (se last picture)
    - those are one piece scales, so nothing can be done with an eg new wedge
    - plastic is in my opinion fairly soft and might get damaged very easily

I don't think repinning is going to solve this problem. If you want to keep the scales, you can sand down the inside of one of the scales at the place where the tang goes when it's closed. So if the razor closes to the right, sand down the inside of the left scale. Mind the razor, it is easy to damage it when still inside the scales.

Personally, I would toss the scales and make new ones!

Personally, I think you should just keep everything as it is if the blade doesn't touch the scales. The scales and this defect are both a part of the razor's history. And actually, this not a common defect

sanding/getting more flex on 1 side might be a good idea,.. I was actually thinking of another possibility (not sure if possible at all), I was thinking of using it for Ern Ator rescaling as well .. the idea I had was 3d scanning / 3D printing new scales,.. am just not sure what kind of materials are out there and if they would enable the similar characteristics needed for scales..

the new scales are the usualy way of mine .. but than on the other hand the razor'd loose on the North Korean originality
