I was also wondering the same thing the other day. Would the swarf tend to stay on the edge of a magnetized blade? Would it affect the honing process differntly? Better, worse, or same? I personally do not have any magnetized blades, but have often wondered and shy away from the major magnet holders just in case.

I was thinking the same thing - also about the unwary reaching into jdoc's medicine cabinet, happily though in the latter example the requisite supplies would be on hand to staunch the flow of blood! Originally Posted by Lemur
