Default UV protection for wooden scales

I'm using a very nice purple almost pinkish wood (hint: it smells like puke) this wood tends to get darker and browner due to UV exposure.. I use oil finishes on wood sofar (have used CA but not on scales)... so 2 questions arose:
    - is there a commonly known/available UV protectant I could add to tung oil?
    - how prone is CA finish to cracking due to flexing of scales.. I'm going with a 2,7 mm width (cca 0.04") and as far as I know CA is pretty non-flexible

    thanks
