Default Silver nickel rods in Europe

Howdy to all the European razor related stuff buyers ..
could anyone please igve me a hint where you get your supply of AgNi rods (cca 1,5 mm = 1/16")? If possible with links/prepositions . I only have been able to get 1,5 and 2 mm brass ones that I've been using sofar..

    Thanks

Your AgNi is not correct, I'm afraid, There is no silver in nickel silver, just copper, zinc and nickel. Knife maker shops and supplies stock it as a stock item.

1.5mm is just a bit too small in diameter - a 1/16th inch rod will not go through a 1.5mm hole. 1.6mm is closer, though not exact.

@Neil: huh... thanks,.. I thought it had silver, due to the name,.. I guess silver comes from the color.. could you maybe please give me a link or two for Europe knife shops that might have 1/16" silver nickel rods if you have it?
    thanks for the help

Thats right Miha, the name comes from the colour. It is used as a brazing rod, too, so a welding supplis shop might be able to help.

    Some knifemaking supples in europe:

    Brisa.fi
    jatagan.eu
    thegoodstuff,dk

All have nickel silver rods, but the smallest diameter is from brisa in finland - 2mm. I have had 1/16th inch from them in the past, but that was 3 years or so ago. The owner is very helpful, so he might be able to get you some.

Failing that look on Ebay or any good US online knife making supplies vendor, like jantzsupply.com or texasknife.com

    Regards,
    Neil

I meant that if you google "knife making supplies USA" you will get a list of suppliers. Also, there are many people selling rods in bronze and nickel silver on Ebay.

If you get stuck and you only need a few pins send me a PM message and I expect I can find a rod or two (I use nickel silver rarely) and send it to you.

    Regards,
    Neil

    Here's a UK seller I usually buy my 1/16 nickel silver pin from. 1/16" x 6" Nickel Silver Handle Pin/Bushcraft/Hunting | eBay

thanks to you both,.. I'll try and get them through ebay vendor Celtic suggested,... the problem with USA vendors is often very high shipping costs (not to mention the customs), so Neil, thanks I'll try to get some from ebay ..
