    Default Black tang

Does anyone have any idea how they blacken the tang on certain razors? Also I have a C-Mon blackie that is losing its color in a few places and I was wondering if there was anyway to restore the black color?

I am not sure, never thought about it on a razor. I have blued a few guns though, and you could probably get all the black you wanted out of bluing the blade. Not sure if it works though, might have to give it a try myself lol

How would one go about about blueing steel? Does it require a lot of expensive tools and set up?

Then if you want it really black there's a lot of phosphate solutions to try.

Its that easy huh? Is that blueing solution fairly permanent or does it fade pretty quickly? Lemur any idea where I might find more specifics about the phosphate solutions?
