    Default Acrylic on scales

So I am looking at finding a new finish for my scales. I was wondering if anyone has used a craft type of acrylic epoxy to finish their scales? How was it to work with ( I have used it for other things but not scales.) Were you happy with the results?

You need good acrylic and mixed correctly - if not you will get a gummy soft plastic over the scales and it will eventually get damaged. Crazy glue is still a great product to use, its clear, hard, and easy to sand. If you are using wood, I recommend oil treatments while progressively sanding to 1200 grit. When done right this is the best looking finish for wood IMO.

Search under user "Cannonfodder" Dave did quite a few very well detailed step by step guides to Epoxy finishing.. It is also available through the sticky at the top of this Workshop forum..
