    Default Camel Bone

Does anyone in the US have a good source of camel bone for razor scales? I have located several, but I would like to find one that a member has found to be reliable and selling a consistently good product.
    Thanks

They are not located in US but this is my main source for material related to knife making:

    https://www.brisa.fi/portal/index.ph...ex&cPath=95_21

I do mostly "nordic" knives but I have always been satisfied with the quality of Brisa's material. But I notice that the camel bone scales they have listed on the webpage are only 13cm long. I'm afraid thatīs slightly short for razor scales but I guess you always could ask them about longer pieces. The company is within driving distance from where I live and I have visited them a couple of times. I know that they cut most of the materials in their own facilities. Not sure about the camel bone but If they do, then I would believe that they can cut you some longer scales too the next time they are processing a batch.

Check on Amazon. I have dealt with a few vendors there and the material I have gotten is superior to some I have bought at expensive knife supplies. Some of these small vendors have nice stuff.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
