Need advice (Newbie on board)

Hello all,

I purchased a couple of Straights to start learning how to restore them. (Ok wanted 1 ended up with 3, definitely going to piss off the wife) This is a J.A. Henckels #172 I picked up. It has some minor pitting and discoloration. The pins are tight and it is centered. Since this is my first restore I was looking for some advice as far as what would you do? I am not concerned with a mirror finish, but I do want them to look clean and functional.

So if you were me. What would you do?
