    Default Damaged strop?

    Hi all,

I just purchased my first strop, a new Illinois Russian leather strop, and found that the surface is really scuffed up, like something went wrong in the factory (see photo). Any way to fix this-- like, just strop right over it --or should I send it back? Thanks!

Hi, I don't have a camera handy but the disturbed area covers about an inch of the 2.5" single sided strop. I didn't realize there was a strop section on her so I will move this most. Thank you!

The Illinois 827 has a very rough texture to begin with. Give it a few good rubbings with your hand. The have a quite heavy draw but work great even with the rough texture.
