Thread: Scale material

Hello Gents, I was looking for sources on scale material mostly some g10, and Ive heard some guitar celluloid is another possibility. I would prefer sheets or blanks. Any feedback or possible sources for these? Thanks and Happy New Year to you!

From bad experience I would be hesitant to recommend any of the New Celluloid, nothing is worse then making a set of scales that a week later has to be tossed because the "New Celluloid" is off gassing

Knifekits.com... They have a huge selection

Alpha knife supply has a good selection.

I find they have fast cheap shipping and cheap 1x6x 1/8 blanks that are ready to go. They also have pre cut 1x6 .06 and .03 liners which are fun.

They also sell a fair selection of kirinite, MOP and shell laminate, micarta and other good stuff.

+1 for USA Knifemaker. I have bought canvas Micarta, knife handle hardware and grinder belts from them. It's nice to have a company only charge a few dollars for small items for shipping instead of a larger flat rate.
