Took this H. BOKER apart and replaced the pins as the pivot pin had pulled thru the bolster. Single wash at pivot and double washers at wedge end. Cleaned and polished by hand. Good enough for me. Will need to put it on the finish stone just because i was playing with it. It had a great edge but just to be sure...

Finished up a Henckels #50 (4/8ths) has one small chip to be honed from the bevel.

The edge was against the stabilizer, so I thinned it with the dremmel, and 240 greaseless, then sanded all smooth again and polished it up.

Cleaned and polished the scales, and pinned back up with nickle/ silver rod and under washers.

I had a sheet of thin rubber that I attached as a cover, which seems to work very well. I'm not sure how long it will last, but it will be easy to remove if it wears out too easily. I did a little sanding on a blade tonight and this is so much easier than just laying the blade on a rag. Thank you Mike!

The Henckels 50 is a bit of an odd one because it comes in so many sizes. I have a couple that are 5/8 but have seen them in 4/8 through 6/8 and I've seen one advertised at 7/8 but no measurements shown. Nice job on that one.
I do need to get me some of those magnets and make a jig for sanding. I typically use my engravers block or a vice, but some different options would be handy.
