Saw this product and figured I'd give it a shot....

Razor is rough enough all I can make out is Sheffield and elite etched on blade....will post results.

Thanks, been soaking for an hour and its already coming off, may leave it overnight. Suppose to be safe with plastics etc and non toxic so should be safe for most if not all scales. Also picked up some neatsfoot today got some horn to soak!

Seems to be converted to a black material now, no red rust left and looks salvageable. Small Nick in blade but should hone out easily.

That looks exactly like a w&b I'm eyeing up from a friend

We could have told ya that, but sometimes it is best to just let people do what they want to do and learn for themselves there are a multitude of threads here on SRP about every chemical solution possible to clean off rust, even about using electrolysis...

Basically you always end up having to use some type of abrasive to get to Clean, Shiny steel and to get the pits out it you have to remove enough of that steel to get to the bottom of them, sometimes you can sometimes you can't...

That is just the nature of the beast


ps: Active rust can quickly and easily be "Sliced" off the steel using a SE or DE razor blade..

I own a soda blaster and already looked at electrolysis, just figured I'd give this stuff a shot...

Well Dennis it seems like now all you have to do is put her on the buffer and hone her up! Thanks for sharing the product review!
