Someone please refresh my memory about microfasteners
I can't really understand the microfasteners website, or rather the US system for specifying sizes.
Micro Fasteners :: Machine Screws :: Hex Head :: Brass
what does 00-80 and 00-90 mean? or 1-72?
And how do I know what size washers go with them? what is the difference between fbw0-0 and fbw00-00?Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I would just direct you to this previous thread

- lots of helpful info here, including a cheat sheet from gssixgun.
also check out this chart: http://www.fastenermart.com/Merchant...size_comp1.pdfLast edited by JoelLewicki; 01-16-2014 at 10:10 PM.

Thanks. I thought the imperial system was already archaic but this just takes the cake. They might as well just name them after days of the week or colors...

Thanked: 40Bruno,
I ordered from Microfasteners recently, and here is some info that might help:
1. The Screws are HEX HEAD MACHINE SCREW 0-80 X 3/4 (HBB0012)
2. The Hex nuts to those screws are HEX NUT SMALL PATTN 0-80 (HNBS0080)
This screw is roughly equivalent in size to a standard brass or copper rod that you might use.
