    Default first vintage honing experience

    so i found this lovely DORKO at an antique store and decided to buy it and hone it into good condition
    so i did and it worked very well for my first vintage honing session

    i have a set of king water stones

    anyway what i was going to say after that didnt work so also i then went to the linen then the cowhide strop then the roo paddle strop
    test shave later on today
    ill keep you all updated

    Hammond was this the one from the antique store cafe at. Blackheath?.
    Needed a bit of work if so

    yeah it was from Blackheath
    lucky find i say worked on it for a while got all the chips out
    honed it nicely and it is such a beautiful shave i must say
    i got a 1000 a 6000 and an 8000

    the 8000 is the king goldstone not sure exactly about the 1000 or 6000 they were my dads for his planes and chisels
