    Default Work Area for Restoring

What would be the minimal work space you would need to do serious restoration work on straight razors?

Actual work space for me is a piece of 18mm Mdf about 600mm by 600mm!

Ah don't be!! I work in a fully kitted out furniture making workshop, and i could have done 98% of it at home!!

Better at home... TV, beers, limitless coffee. IDEAL!!!

Mine is the top of a bookshelf, in front of my desk, sitting on a foot stool. If I can I'll try and post pictures later....it's rather pathetic.

I also use a coffee table for restoring and honing while watching TV.

I am actually planning on setting up a work bench in the garage when I get it cleaned out. I like using the coffee table, but I really want to set up a general, designated work area in the garage. I am planning on laminating together a nice 4 in thick top this next week while visiting my Dad over spring break. Figure ill pick some nice, solid 2x4s, plane them down a bit. Lamintate them and then sand the heck out of them to get a nice, durable surface. Build a nice cabinet under it with casters, there ya go. Solid, portable work bench that I can secure a vice to and everything.

    Matt
