I bought some scale blanks of "Cola de Pava" I tried googling it and not much comes up in ways people have worked it. I was wondering if anybody has worked with it before and what finishes do you recommend? I was thinking about using tung oil and hand rubbing it till it got nice and shiny. I will be using it to make a nice set of scales for a DD Satin Edge that I just got and the current scales are cell rotted. Any tips would be appreciated.
