    Default My first "build

I had bruno hand make my custom blade since I don't have the resources to make a custom blade start to finish. But this rout let's me become part of the procedd. Here's some pics of how it looked during process and my progress.ill post more as I get more done. I'm waiting on my horn scale material to come in now. When I'm done sanding and polishing the blade I am having a pin up girl laser etched on the blade. Thanks for everyone help so far and bruno of course for the fine piece of steel!

The bottom two pics are from bruno. That's the grind he sends out . Bottom is after heat treatment. Thought about leaving grind marks but decided not.The top two are today after my hands got tired of sanding lol show side is close to done.

    Default progress.

Finally decided on a scale design I wanted to leave a lot of blade showing since I will have blade etched.

Update. Roughed out scales. Finish sand, wedge, and pins tomorrow. Then I gotta order some hones!

Should have mentioned. The beautiful horn I have laying on the bench is 1/4 too short for my design so I went with ivory acrylic.

Yes. I'm using one as wedge material and the other slab I will wait until I get a short bade to use it on. Pretty dark brown with white streaks.
