Ouch, I need a bandsaw.
I did this ripping a 1/8" strip off a 3/4x3/4x6" piece of wood on a table saw. I didn't cut myself on the blade, the larger piece caught an fired back against my thumb that was pushing it along. Just a simple square corner lifted about 1/2x3/4" of skin, all the layers I think.
I know the smarter way to do things, I just do what is fastest and easiest first.Than ≠ Then

Skin grows back fortunately
My grandfather had to have 3 fingers re attached from pushing wood on a bandsaw... All his life a cabinet maker as well!

Thanked: 498I give you wood working guys alot of credit. I work in a machine shop, when we have an accident we usually just mangle, You wood guys cut digits clean off and do it usually without even knowing. Table saws scare me to death.Get well...

Those table saws have to be respectedI love living in the past...

Thanks for the advice everyone, but as I said, I know better but just didn't do it.
No stitches, it's crusting up nicely. The rubbing alcohol hurt as much as the injury.
