Thanked: 129Rusty Jimps
Quick question, just split a Bengall from its scales to clean the rust bits up by hand. Dulled the blade ready to go but I've always had trouble with the jimps both top where they are a series of lines across the tail and underneath where they look like the face of a file. Any suggestions from you would be appreciated. I'm going with hand restoration as this seems the least likly route to avoid any unnecessary damage. the rust is red and not the dreaded black stuff by the way.
Thanks

One of these. Small brass wire brush as Hart said. Softer than the steel.
