    Default Puma high class advice

I picked this up recently and I would like advice on how to tackle the areas around the goldwash. I usually use a dremel wheel but I think this calls for hand sanding.
What products do you recommend for a nice polish? What is the lowest grit I should go to avoid scratches?

    thanks fellas

IME the Puma High Class is a very thin grind. Goldwash is very fragile also. Even a paper towel with metal polish will take it off. I'd leave well enough alone if it was mine.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I ended up masking the etch with tape cut to the right size.

Looks good, samircanada. Keep a close eye on it though as scales like that are prone to cell rot. I have one that had a few marks that cleaned up nicely and when I looked at it a few months later it was on its way. Glen was able to save it though, however the wash was beyond saving.

I didnt detect any smell from the scales, especially not that camphor smell you get when sanding celluloid (that stuff is yucky).

I will keep an eye on it though, I didnt know much about this cell rot but I sure wouldnt want to jump the gun and start doing major change untill I am sure something like that is going on.
