Thanked: 45Birthday Duck
I turned 28 last week and my parents came from San Antonio to see my new house in Houston. My Dad brought me a present that he'd been working on for a while.
It's my first Duck, a 9/16 Wonderedge. He found it at an Estate sale and restored it for me. It was his first restore and I think he did a great job! The bonus present was going to the Texas meet on Sunday and honing it with Tom (Sharptonn). It was also really cool sitting next to Charlie (spazola) and Bob Allman and talking razor making while honing.
Bevel set on a DMT, then Naniwa 1k, Norton 4k and 8k, Naniwa 12k, then finished on Tom's beautiful old escher. Then, I had the pleasure of stropping on Tom's collection of crazy strops. From a "magic" black rubber one to a final Neil Miller (which I was very glad I didn't cut).
I got it home and it shaved like an absolute dream. I don't need to tell y'all that though!Let me know if you need any help with shaving, honing, etc.

Thanked: 45My Dad is actually a novice I'm a knifemaker and razor enthusiast and have a decent sized shop to work in. I've done restoration, rescaling, honing, etc. What do you need?
Let me know if you need any help with shaving, honing, etc.
