Thanked: 0First razor restoration attempt
Hi Guys
Just wanted to put some pics of the dubl duck i've restored up for review. I'd be very interested to hear your opinions, good or bad!!
Its a special number 1, with maple lined walnut scales. The end spacer is brass along with the pin, and handmade stainless finishing washers. The finish is 12 coats of cellulose lacquer, cut back half way through, then buffed with brasso. Throroughly enjoyable project.

Hell of a nice job Pea, and doubly so because it is your first. - John

Very beautiful. I am definitely going to to rescale this Joseph Rogers Sheffield that I got from Chris. It is such a nice shaver that it deserves a good restoring, and I feel confident enough to rescale it. Now, you lined them will maple, but is there anything between the maple and the blade itself, or is it just the maple?

Thanked: 0thanks guys.
Yeah i put handmade brass washers either side of the blade. They were a little on the fat side. But i like the way it adds a little weight to that end!

NICE!
I really like that scale design!
It has a classic look for a classic blade!
