Online sources for 1/16 brass rod
I visited all the local big and mom and pop hardware stores and hobby stores for 1/16 brass rod and came up empty. So hit the net, googled 1/16 brass rod https://www.google.com/#q=1/16+brass+rod and found I could order from Ace Hardware and have it shipped to my local store for free!

1and 1/4 brass nails that are 1/16 always have served me well
