Default Any recommendations for reasonable pre cut micarta or micarta rescale on Wade Butcher

Hello guys, and thank you for your help. I have a wade butcher that I love and want to rescale. But do not want and right now cannot spend a fortune. Can you recommend anyone?
    thank you - Rod

My recommendation is that if you want to save money then you could always attempt to do it yourself. If that's not an option then I would suggest saving up for someone to do it properly...cheap is not usually better and such work will show. I don't know of any pre fab micarta scales out on the market.

I would love to do it myself as I have found material and it's cheap... But have no knowledge of how. Near as I can tell pins, spacers, polishing, etc are involved. I have none and wouldn't begin to know sizes or where to start.
    Thanks - Rod

The best place to start with any restoration or repair project is right here:

The first thing to consider is how good you are working with your hands. Only you can answer that, but if you think it's within the scope of your skill, then go for it.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Wow, thank you all for the valuable insight... Yes, I am actually good with my hands, just really had no working knowledge of razors. Rod

Micarta is actually a real pleasure to work with and it's tough as nails. I prefer canvas for texture, but they're all good
