Re-Plating Gold Wash...Anyone?
Guys, I have a razor that I want to have the Gold Wash/Plating re-done on.
It will need all of the spine, tang and a partial on the blade.
There is etching on the blade that is quite deep, and gold needs to go into this and then I can presumably polish off the overspill?
Anyone had this kind of work done? Recommendations? Price range? Pitfalls?
It's a special razor so I want to make sure it is done properly
Cheers.

Thanked: 4827There have been guys who have done them. I know one member who has had it done on one of his and in person it looks pretty incredible. There are kits available from Caswell Canada: Electroplating Kits, Car Restoration Supplies, Powder Coating, POR 15 they are on both sides of the border so you can shop from either side. Seeing as there is no solicitation on the open forums, if you are looking for someone to do it for you then you should probably look through some old threads. You could also try contacting Raol as that is who had it done.
