    Hi all,

Here is an update. I polished the bolsters and pin end along with the blade, didn't tough the tang. Next step is off to be honed somewhere!

Looks super! I see that stubborn spot on the front persists. Try smearing some polish and work on it with the sharp point of a pencil. Nice Job!

Interesting. Haven't heard that one. There are a few other spots there. After 25+ applications of mothers aluminum and mag polish they won't go away. I don't want to break out the dremel and emery or rouge in fear if messing something up. I might have to to get rid of them though.

You will find the pencil will scrub well, and will not hurt a thing. If it is a pit, using the pencil with polish, you should be able to get the black out of it, at least, so it will not be seen easily!

Good point sharptonn :<0) The spots may still be there but not active any longer. Looked like rust to me but if not you may have the miracle cure. I thought maybe everyday use would wear it down also if it was not rust.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

No miracle, Pups, but works excellent in between etches, etc. Like I said, won't hurt a thing.
Ya need a good, high quality sharpener, tho!

I use round tooth picks with a polish or emery compound for getting to the bottom of pits. Even used them in a Dremel with a chuck for the relatively point source of working. They do wear and break up fast but.....so what?

I use toothpicks as well ! Nice addition, Richard! Small, light steps taken with soft sharp items with the addition of light polish will help!
