Thanked: 9Working Ram's Horn
Has anyone tried working a raw ram's horn into scales. I see horns on ebay for a reasonable price. Would it be the same process used for buffalo horn?

Thanked: 498The trick is finding that wonderful rams horn in lengths you can use. It usually always comes short for scale making. If you found a place to get it in workable lengths, jump on it.

It looks big enough to get a couple of scales after it is split and flattened. Are you saying it may be too thin?
