Default gt85 with wet and dry

In the past I have read about people using wd40 instead of water with wet and dry with the suggestion that it removes metal faster. I have tried this but to be honest didn't really notice much benefit.

A friend recently recommended gt85 to me for use on my cycle, like wd40 it is a spray on oil. I thought today that I would give it a try on a nasty bit of devil spit and pitting. It worked really well! Within very little time I removed quite a sizeable area of damage.

I know very little about lubricating products, could anyone advise if there is any reason I shouldn't use this product on razors?

Also, if it's safe to use, has anyone else every tried it? I can see searching the form there has been some discussion about using it on hones, but has anyone else tried it with wet and dry? If so to what success?

I find this works extremely well and is very easy to use to remove rust and cleans the gunk in the scales:
