I would hit like, but that doesn't seem quite right? That really sucks and they look so beautiful! What ended up happening? Over do it with the peening?

Bent the pin...re pinned and I guess I made the end to thin, small? and ended up cracking it.

Oh well.... it happens. Could have been worse, it is easily fixed.

The bad part is the frown on the blade that he likes.

Lol sometimes you can't talk people out of their own bad choices. The funny part is when they get mad that you were right and didn't stop them from doing something foolish anyways.

It may be nit picking, but couldn't you have saved the bolster and made a scale to fit it? I think you've done it before (I've never done it and can only imagine it as a royal PIA that would require a deep personal interest or ample monetary compensation). Or does this project not warrant the effort?
