I would hit like, but that doesn't seem quite right? That really sucks and they look so beautiful! What ended up happening? Over do it with the peening?

Bent the pin...re pinned and I guess I made the end to thin, small? and ended up cracking it.

Oh well.... it happens. Could have been worse, it is easily fixed.

The bad part is the frown on the blade that he likes.

Lol sometimes you can't talk people out of their own bad choices. The funny part is when they get mad that you were right and didn't stop them from doing something foolish anyways.

Another great job. The white is super clean looking. Hopefully he appreciated your hard work and generous spirit.

Excuse. Me for butting in gentlemen but I came across. A tip about wooden scales and the pivot point. If we drill the hole in the material. 50% bigger than the wire diameter that relieves the stress when peening. I don't know if you chaps have come across. This. But it works. For me:-)

    Good point...
The hole was drilled bigger though.
I think it was a matter of it being too thin width wise and me not cutting the pin short enough.

I should have listened to myself when I said this will work if......
Never Ever do that! Shortcuts lead to disaster!

Live and learn I guess... Good thing is it reminded me to be more careful and not rush stuff!
